Ecosystems Game

Visiting the “Indo-German Dialogue on Green Urban Practices” in Pune was a welcome occasion for meeting like-minded people and being creative. As part of the public exhibition on the final day of this workshop, Prof. Ulrike Zeshan hosted a session featuring the first prototype of the “Ecosystems Game”.

This game initially prompts the players to explore what they know about different types of ecosystems, such as land-based or water-based, natural or man-made. As the game goes on, the group is then led to discuss how a particular kind of ecosystem could be improved and protected. The game went on for nearly four hours without a break, as each group of players completing a round of the game (mainly students of the university hosting the Dialogue) was immediately replaced by the next eager group.

We will now refine the design of the game, and Shicol plans to invite groups in our surrounding area to play the game when the next version is ready.
