The Knowledge Hub

The Knowledge Hub is an innovation space. Our aim is to experiment with re-combinations of traditional knowledge and modern science/technology. For example, people have always lived in hot areas, long before electricity and air conditioning. As we need to get away from fossil fuels, can traditional building materials and techniques be brought back in a new way? The Knowledge Hub is not a one-off project but a continuous activity. Currently, we are interested in passive cooling for refrigeration and for buildings, and in chemical-free farming. We develop and test innovations right here on the Shikha Eco-Learning-Village campus.
